Incorrect : Just by following the news, you can readily see how politicians have a vested interest in pleasing powerful interest groups. But one should not generalize about this tendency.

Correct : We can readily see (to agree with though we should not generalize)

Correct : I can readily see (to agree with though I would not generalize)

Correct : One can readily see (to agree with though one should not generalize)

[이블린 킴의 iBT writing] Essay <46>- Rome was not built in a day!
Would you prefer to live in a traditional house or in a modern apartment building?

Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.

Of course there are advantages and disadvantages to living in either a house or an apartment building.

The choice depends strictly on personal taste.

For a number of reasons,I would prefer living in an apartment building.

First,in an apartment building,a number of chores and tasks are taken care of by the management, allowing the tenants more free time to enjoy their lives.

As a child,I spent many of my weekends mowing our family's lawn and working in the yard, and I grew to hate it.

Now,as an adult,I can avoid wasting my weekends on yard work and other chores by living in an apartment.

Second,apartment living promotes environmental efficiency.

These days the amount of open space continues to decrease as the population rises and single family homes are build on the outskirts of cities and towns.

Each home has its own yard and facilities.

This is nice for the families, but a big waste of space.

Apartment buildings are a more efficient way of housing a large number of people in a smaller area.

Finally, most modern apartment buildings have facilities that are available to the residents.

These complexes often have such things as swimming polls, exercise rooms, gyms, and playgrounds.

While these facilities can be built for single-family homes, the owner would have to be rich to afford such things.

In conclusion,I certainly understand those who prefer traditional homes, but for me,modern apartment living is the way to go.
