서론의 중요성 즉 thesis statements 와 hook sentence를 명심하면서 본인의 에세이가 자연스럽게 흐르는지 살펴보자.

그다음, 에세이에 본론을 어떻게 쓸 것인가를 꼼꼼히 공부해보도록 하자.

간단히 말해서 본론은 네 개의 points 로 구성된다.

즉 자신의 주장을 2줄 정도 쓰고 난 다음 자세한 설명을 3줄 정도，그리고 예를 2줄로 들고，마지막으로 결론을 1줄로 쓰면 충분하다.

1. 주장(2줄) 2.설명(3줄) 3.예시(2줄) 4.주장 다시 한번 더(1줄)

간단해 보이지만 위에서 언급한 4개의 포인트를 자연스럽게 연결하는 것이 관건이다.

물론 자세한 예를 들면서 공부해보겠지만 이번 호에는 한국 학생들이 자주 헷갈려하는 transitions을 다 정리해보았다.

자신에게 필요한 몇 개만 암기해서 본인의 에세이에 써보기 바란다.

- To express cause and effect : accordingly, as a result, consequently, for, for this purpose, otherwise, since, therefor, thus

- To emphasize : certainly, especially, in fact, more important, mostly, particularly, primarily, unquestionably

- To exemplify or illustrate : as an example, for another, for example, for instance, in fact, in particular, namely, specifically, such as, to illustrate

- To show a sequence :again, at first, at last, finally, furthermore, in addition, next, still, last

Korean : 과거의 생활과 달리 최근 진보한 기술 덕에 사람들은 획기적으로 요리시간을 단축할 수 있다.

우리가 볼 수 있는 것처럼 그때 이후로 많은 변화가 생겼고 그러한 변화 중에서 가장 주목할 만한 것은 수많은 음식을 맛볼 수 있는 기회가 주어졌으며 남자들이 부엌에 들어가 요리하게 된 것이다.

첫 번째로 사람들이 다른 나라의 다양한 음식을 즐길 수 있는 것이다.

자세하게 말하자면 일본의 '나토', 그리고 멕시코의 '퀘사디아' 같은 새로운 음식들을 경험할 기회가 생긴 것이다.

나의 어머니는 일을 마치고 집에 오는 도중 백화점에 들러 멕시코 음식을 사신다.

식사 준비 시간이 줄어든 것에 대하여 어머니는 매우 기뻐하고 있으며 단지 10분간의 짧은 식사시간을 위하여 많은 시간을 사용할 필요가 없어졌다.

어머니는 책을 읽을 시간의 여유가 생기고 그녀만을 위한 시간을 가지게 되었다.

남자들 또한 부엌환경을 획기적으로 변화시킨 진보한 기술의 운이 좋은 수혜자 중의 하나다.

과거에는 음식 준비를 위해 필요한 여러 잡다한 일과 솜씨 때문에 부엌일은 여자들의 몫이었다.

그러나 남자들에게도 사랑하는 사람과 자신을 위하여 음식을 준비하는 일에 대하여 아무런 문제가 없는 듯하다.

요즘 사람들은 음식 준비를 위하여 첨부터 요리 준비를 할 시간이 없다.

음식 준비를 위하여 할 일이란 집에서 만든 것처럼 신선하고 영양가 있는 음식을 만들어놓고 팔고 있는 마켓에서 사는 것이다.

나의 남동생, 그리고 사촌남동생도 가끔 남자가 부엌일을 한다는 것을 이해 못하시는 할머니에게 꾸중은 듣지만 자신들이 직접 음식을 만드는 것에 대하여 꺼리지 않는다.

맛있는 식사를 하는 것은 정말 행복한 경험일 것이다.

식사 준비 시간이 짧아지면서 우리의 삶의 질도 많이 향상되었다.

Nowadays，food has become easier to prepare.

Has this change the way people live？

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Unlike some years ago，people can save cooking time significantly thanks to advanced technologies in recent years.

As we can see，many changes have occurred since then and among them，I think， having opportunities of tasting various foods and attracting men to the kitchen are the most notable changes.

People，firstly，can enjoy various foods came from other countries.

Specifically，people could have opportunities of experiencing new foods

such as a Japanese food called 'Nato' and Mexican 'quesadillas'.

On the way home after work，my mother usually drop by at a department store and buy some Mexican foods.

She is very much delighted with her shortened food preparation time.

She does not have to spend so much time for just ten minuets happy meal time.

Now，my mother has a time to read and have a time just for herself.

I am just happy for her.

Men are also one of those lucky recipients of the advanced technologies that dramatically change the kitchen environment.

In the old days，food preparation was assigned for women because of all the little chores and skills need for it.

Yet，men seem do not have any trouble preparing meals for their love ones and for themselves.

Theses days，men do not have a time to prepare their meals from scratch.

All they have to do is just visiting a market and buying already prepared foods which are as fresh and nutritious as their home made meals.

My brother and male cousins are not afraid of preparing meals although that sometimes makes my grand mother get angry，who does not understand the idea of men being in the kitchen.

Having a nice meal could be a very delightful experience for everybody.

Since food has become easier to prepare people enhance the quality of their lives.
