영어는 어순을 뒤집는 도치가 자주 일어나죠
Before us is the Salesman’s house. We are aware of towering, angular shapes behind it, surrounding it on all sides. Only the blue light of the sky falls upon the house and forestage; the surrounding area shows an angry glow of orange. As more light appears, we see a solid vault of apartment houses around the small, fragile-seeming home. An air of the dream clings to the place, a dream rising out of reality. The kitchen at center seems actual enough, for there is a kitchen table with three chairs, and a refrigerator. But no other fixtures are seen. At the back of the kitchen there is a draped entrance, which leads to the living room. To the right of the kitchen, on a level raised two feet, is a bedroom furnished only with a brass bedstead and a straight chair. On a shelf over the bed a silver athletic trophy stands. A window opens onto the apartment house at the side.[아서 밀러 《세일즈맨의 죽음》]앞에는 세일즈맨의 집이 있고, 그 집 뒤로 높이 솟고 모가 난 형체들이 보이는데, 그것들은 사방에서 집을 에워싸고 있다. 단지 푸른 하늘빛 조명만이 집과 무대 전면에 떨어지고, 주위는 강렬한 오렌지 빛 조명이 비친다. 조명이 차츰 밝아지면서, 자그마하고 쉽게 부서질 것 같은 집 주위로, 아파트들의 견고한 둥근 천장이 보인다. 현실에서 솟아오르는 꿈결 같은 분위기가 그 집에 짙게 감돈다. 한가운데 주방은 마치 실제처럼 보인다. 왜냐하면 세 개의 의자가 딸린 식탁과 냉장고가 있기 때문이다. 그러나 다른 가재도구는 보이지 않는다. 주방 뒤에는 휘장이 드리워진 입구가 있는데, 거실로 통한다. 주방 오른 쪽으로, 2피트 높이에는 단지 하나의 놋쇠침대와 하나의 간편한 의자만이 있는 침실이 있다. 침대 위쪽 선반에는 은빛의 육상 우승컵이 있으며, 창문은 옆 아파트 쪽으로 향하고 있다.
